By "Content" we mean without limitation, any User submissions, such as text, graphics, logos, names, designations, button icons, features, functionalities, images, audio clips, information, data, photographs, graphs, videos, typefaces, graphics, music, sounds, and other material and software made accessible by Airsoft Squared or its partners on or through the Service.
1. Information Collected
We collect information from you in various ways when you use our Websites and Services. We may also supplement this information with information from other companies. We collect two general types of information, namely Personal Information and "aggregate" Data. As used in this Policy, the term "Personal Information" means information that specifically identifies an individual (such as a name and email address), and demographic and other information when directly linked to information that can identify an individual.
Our definition of Personal Information does not include "aggregate" Data. Aggregate Data is information we collect about a group or category of services or Users from which individual User identities have been removed. In other words, no Personal Information is included in aggregate Data. Aggregate Data helps us understand trends in our Users' needs so that we can better consider new features or otherwise tailor our services. This Policy in no way restricts or limits our collection and use of aggregate Data, and we may share aggregate Data about our Users with third parties for various purposes, including to help us better understand our customer needs and improve our services and for advertising and marketing purposes.
No information that can uniquely identify an individual is gathered by merely visiting the http://www.airsoft-squared.com website. Personally identifiable information is only collected when you are registered.
Consent to Collection and Processing in France: By using Airsoft Squared, you consent to having your Personal Information transferred to and processed in France. For your information, this processing has been reported to the relevant local authority, the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertes (CNIL).
Information Collected Upon Registration: When you create an Airsoft Squared account, you provide some Personal Information, such as your name, username, password, email address, gender, language, country and birth date.
Additional Information: During the registration process we give you the opportunity to connect with your friends and Airsoft players. You may provide us with additional information such as a picture of yourself and your biography, address, city, ZIP code and website. In some cases we may ask for additional information for security reasons or to provide specific services to you. Providing the additional information described in this section is entirely optional.
Content and Site Activity: One of the primary reasons people use Airsoft Squared is to share content with others. Examples include when you update your status, upload a photo, embed a video, share a link, create a scenario, a review, an event, a group, a post ("news") or a discussion, make a comment, write something on someone's Wall, or send someone a message. We keep track of some of the actions you take on Airsoft Squared, such as adding connections (including joining a group, attending an event or adding a friend), publishing a content (scenario, review, group, event) or a blog post, commenting on a content or a profile wall or indicating you "like" a content. In some cases you are also taking an action when you provide information or content to us. For example, if you share a video, in addition to storing the actual content you uploaded, we might log the fact that you shared it.
Automatically Collected Data: We automatically receive certain types of information when you interact with our Web pages, services and communications. For example, it is standard for your Web browser to automatically send information to every Web site you visit, including ours. That information includes your computer's IP address, access times, your browser type and language, and referring Web site addresses. We may also collect information about the type of operating system you use, your account activity, and files and pages accessed or used by you when you access Airsoft Squared from a computer, mobile phone, or other device. We may collect some technical Data about your computer's configuration. Those Data won't be shared with anyone else and will only be used to improve the services in order to better satisfy your needs.
Cookie Information: Please note that whether or not you are a registered User, the Website may implement an automatic tracking process (cookie), which you may block by changing your browser settings. Cookies are small amounts of Data that are sent from your web browser and stored on your computer's hard drive. We use "cookies" to enhance identification and remember your site preferences and payment information so you do not have to re-enter it. If you do not de-activate or erase the cookie, each time you use the same computer to access Airsoft Squared, our web servers will be notified of your visit to Airsoft Squared and in turn we may have knowledge of your visit and the pattern of your usage. You can remove or block cookies using the settings in your browser, but in some cases that may impact your ability to use Airsoft Squared.
Information from other websites: We may institute programs with advertising partners and other websites in which they share information with us:
- We may ask advertisers to tell us how our Users responded to the ads we showed them (and for comparison purposes, how other Users who didn't see the ads acted on their site). This Data sharing, commonly known as "conversion tracking" helps us measure our advertising effectiveness and improve the quality of the advertisements you see.
- We may receive information about whether or not you've seen or interacted with certain ads on other sites in order to measure the effectiveness of those ads.
If in any of these cases we receive Data that we do not already have, we will "anonymize" it within 180 days, meaning we will stop associating the information with any particular User. If we institute these programs, we will only use the information in the ways we explain in the "Use of Your Information" section below.
Children's Online Privacy: We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 18. If you are under age 18, please do not attempt to register for Airsoft Squared or provide any Personal Information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from a child under age 18, please contact us. We strongly recommend that minors 18 years of age or older ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet and we encourage parents to teach their children about safe Internet use practices.

Certain types of communications that you send to other Users cannot be removed, such as messages.
When you publish a content (a scenario, a review, an event, a group, a news or a discussion) on the Website, we collect a variety of information related to that classified (e.g., price, model). The public will see any information that you include in your content, and as such, Airsoft Squared has no control over how this information will be used. For that reason, please think carefully about what Personally Identifiable Information you disclose in your content. You can always edit, delete or set to invisible any of your contents. Tips to protect your privacy and avoid scams, viruses and hacks:
- If your account has been taken over and used to send spam, re-secure the account by changing your password.
- Don't click on links or open attachments in suspicious emails. If the email looks weird, don't trust it, and delete it from your inbox immediately.
- Be wary of where you enter your password. Just because a page on the Internet looks like Airsoft Squared or another site you use, it doesn't mean that it is. Check the address bar in your browser, and learn to tell the difference between a good URL and a bad one. If you ever have doubts about the legitimacy of a link, simply type the website's URL (for example, http://www.airsoft-squared.com) into the address bar.
- Be suspicious of any email or message that contains an urgent request or asks you to update your information or provide new information.
- Be suspicious of emails or messages that contain misspellings or use bad grammar, especially if they're from someone who is usually a good writer.
- Make sure you have an up-to-date web browser equipped with an anti-phishing blacklist. Some examples are Internet Explorer 8.0 and Firefox 3.0.10.
- Make sure you have up-to-date comprehensive security software on your computer that includes anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-phishing, and a firewall.
- Make sure you've set your operating system to update automatically.
- Don't share your passwords with anyone. Don't do it. Most reputable online services will never ask for your password through any form of communication.
- Use different passwords for your various online accounts. If you use the same password everywhere, and it's stolen, you could lose access to all of your accounts at once.
- Use a complex password that can't be easily guessed. Avoid common words, and make sure your password is at least eight characters long and includes capital and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Remember that you choose what you share and with whom you share it. Think before you post, especially if the information is sensitive or personal in nature.
