At the very beginning ...there were toy soldiers, weapons made from sticks, battle sounds coming out of our mouths and ambushes near the sandbox.
Twenty to thirty years later the bb pellets started to cut the air, gearboxes were rattling and we could hear noisy traffic on our PMR comms interrupted by grenade explosions.
