The ASG MP9A1 is a quick little monster.
Great for close quarters or where precision doesn't matter.
With a high RoF and long magazine, this baby delivers swift and certain doom for people crawling in bushes.
Being a GBB sub-machine gun this little rascal smatters like chinese new year, putting fear into your enemies and creating laughs from your team whenever you spray away!
It features realistic reloading.
Rails on top and on both sides.
Permanent front grip. (kinda sucks, get the A3 modell if you want without the grip)
This gun comes with some flaws that are kinda annoying until you learn to live with them.
It has one safety... and I'm not sure why they call it a safety... It's the same they use on glocks witch is pointless. The safety is in the trigger, there is a small lip in the trigger that needs to be pressed before the trigger engages. If a twig or branch gets caught in the trigger it will still fire, as the safety is stupid. Nothing prevents the trigger from being pulled unintentionally. Please, do yell at me if I'm wrong here, but I think it's stupid.
Also. If you insert the magazine with the bolt closed you will break the gun. Some part of the nozzle gets mangled and after about 2-3 magazines it will fail and you have a useless gun.
Happened to me so I sent it back to the shop i got it from and they fixed it free of charge.
So keep the bolt open when you insert a magazine.
Another "flaw" is not so much the guns fault, but the manufacturers of accessories for it.
There is no good alternative holster for this.
I found one that is for RS MP9s aaaand it costs more then the gun... so a no go for me.
I took a random universal holster that you can change size depending on witch gun you are going to put in it and extended the straps to fit. Works ok-ish. The only problem is that the front grip is permanently on and in the way for holstering.
And with the magazine inserted it will get unstable, swingin around, snagging bushes and whatnots, making it hard to run with it holstered.
I'm hoping some airsoft manufacturer will make a viable alternative to the RS holster for a reasonable price.
I allways say that you should keep your guns clean.
But in this case I'm not so sure.
I have never opened it, never cleaned it or ever inspected it internaly.
I just slab a few drops of lubricant onto the bolt where I see there is tearing going on and it has worked so far.
I'm not saying you shouldn't open yours and inspect, just saying I have never done it on this gun and mine works good.
Nice gun if you can get over the fact that you have to open the bolt every time you reload.
Love the sound and feel of it.
Aesthetic: It looks nice, feels nice and sounds nice!
Performance: It cycles good and the bolt action is great. Recoil is nice!
Precision: No use in firing semi on this one, spray and pray baby!
Accessories: Would have gotten a 10 because of the rail space, but the lack of holsters cuts it down...
Quality: The body is a sturdy nylon that can take a punch. It gets lower points because of the internal design flaw.
Overall: 7/10 is only because it is soooo much fun to use!
