Glock 32C replica with metal slide and OD colored plastic body comes from the famous family of Glock pistols, both real steel and airsoft. One of the best Glock replicas in this price range.
Glock pistols are mostly semi automatic handguns. Gaston Glock, their inventor, has brought the concept of polymer based frames and despite initial fear and market resistance, Glock pistol now cover at least 65 percent of market share of handguns for American law enforcement agencies as well as supplying numerous national armed forces, security agencies, and law enforcement agencies in 48 countries.
Model 32, on which the reviewed GBB is based on is, is a .357 SIG caliber handgun (number 32 means that the gun is the company's 32nd patent). It's the compact version and has the same dimensions as version 19 and other compact models.
This Taiwanese company makes a wide variety of gas powered airsoft guns and rifles, as well as some accessories (mainly spare magazines).
The GBB, as stated before, is based on the real life Glock 32C, and fits into the compact class of Glock family. The C means compensated, which works in real steel version to keep the recoil at minimum. With GBB such feature is not needed at all, but the compensator on the slide is modeled after the real counterpart and looks very good.
The body very good with no visible seam lines on the polymer frame. The slide is black metal and doesn't feel like pot metal, which is a plus. It's might look a bit shiny, but this can easily be handled by spraying it in the desired color. The only disadvantage here is, that markings are missing. Instead of Glock logos and model numbers, you only get a KJ Works logo on the frame and nothing at all on the slide. It's not that big of an issue, but markings would help. Fortunately, the slide can be replaced, the gun is compatible with aftermarket parts.
Players who intend to buy and use this gun, should try it out first. The Glock pistols have perfect ergonomics for most of the people, but as this is the compact version, the frame is a bit shorter and you out there with bigger hands might want to go for the full sized model.
As for the controls, all are the same as on the real steel version, down to the characteristic Glock trigger based safety. KJ Works add one other mechanical safety. The serial number plate which sits under the barrel, acts as a sliding safety. Slide it back and the trigger won't move.
This Glock features Tokyo Marui style adjustable hop up. For adjustments the slide needs to be removed. However, no tools are needed, so the whole operation is very fast and easy.
Te magazine is interchangeable between other compact Glocks. It holds 21 rounds and easily enough gas to fire two, maybe three magazines (depending on weather conditions).
As for the performance, this is primarily a backup/CQB gun. Very short barrel means only standard accuracy (good for the first 15 - 20 metres, but not much else). The cycle however, has a very good feel. The blowback is powerful enough, but weaker than hard kicks like the TM Five-seveN. You get between 270 - 280 fps with .20g BBs. The overal accuracy is mediocre to good, but the shots are very consistent and magazines hold the gas very well out of the box.
All in all, this Glock GBB is a very good looking gun, certainly in this price range. Metal slide is a good benefit in terms of added weight. Markings are missing, but at least the slide can be replaced. Since the frame is universal for all Glocks, you can easily switch the slide for any other with original markings, even different models (19, 23 etc.).
The performance is above average, magazines are very good and ergonomics spot on, just like with the real steel counterparts. And if the perfomormance is not enough for you, Glocks are very popular and the accessories' range (both internal, external and holsters) is huge.
The dimensions are identical to the real gun as well, so real holsters and external accessories will fit.
