I got my hands on the new Cobra grip from Strike. This is a real steel part but wanted to see how it transfers over into the airsoft world.
I highlight some of it's great qualities as well as compare it to the industry leading Magpul AFG.
Then I took it out to an airosft op: Blackshield at SC Village in Chino, Ca to see how well it performed.
Check out the video.

It's a real steel part but we wanted to put it through some airsoft testing to see if it might be an upgrade from the Magpul AFG.
We know we might get backlash from Magpul cronies ( I love Magpul btw) but the only way improvments are made are through others taking a good idea and seeing what they can do with it.

One thing we absolutely had to do was compare it to the Magpul AFG. The Cobra has taken some criticism for copying Magpul but we say it's very different, and in fact it some areas a nice improvment.
Some of the things we notice off the bat was it's lower, slim profile.
It resembles a cobra, hence the name.
It's made from a high quality polymer and features hoods on the side as heat sheilds because this is made for real rifles.
It transfers over into the airsoft world quite brilliantly. The lower profile actually feels more natural and would be amazing to use in a cqb environment.
There were no major draw backs as far I could see. It turned a lot of heads and just plan looks sexy in my opinion!
Overall, I love this thing and it will definitely be on one of my AEG's!
