The Galil Mar AEG is the second replica coming from King Arms' factories that I have be given the chance to try out this year. My first test with their Colt M4 A1 was more than positive. This second test confirms that King Arms is definitely a quality brand you can trust.
The context : 20 players, a complex scenario based on roleplay elements and most of all an amazing (and playable) castle in the middle of the woods, plains and vineyards in Bordeaux. Just the perfect place to test my new acquisition.
First of all, the Galil Mar is a full metal AEG (aluminium and steel) that you really feel inside your hands. However the replica is not as heavy as the Colt M4 A1 (2.66 vs 3.00) which makes it a good assault replica. Indeed, the Galil Mar is a polyvalent replica and can be used both indoors and in middle/long distance combats for precision shots thanks to the adjustable rear sight, the extended sight radius and the folding butt. The shortened Galil Mar (78cm to 42cm) is terrific when taking control of indoor position caves of the castle.
The Galil Mar from King Arms is the perfect match for specialized assault squads (maybe balanced with rifles and scopes) with its good rate of fire (with 9.6V batteries), its adaptable size and its great ergonomy.
